About Us

Chris started Buck Electrical in 1975 with the work from the Hutt Valley Lockwood franchise. By the 1980's Buck electrical was also servicing, Wairarapa, Kapiti coast & Wellington Lockwood franchises and had a staff of 7 electricians.
In the 90's chris downsized but has continued to be the preferred electrical contractor to Tuohy homes specializing in quality high end residential homes.

Karl began his apprenticeship in 1991 with Buck electrical. Once completed, he began work as an electrician on MT Ruapehu and over the years has worked with various companies in many roles, from a fibre & data technician in Sydney and a electrician in Canada. In 2000 Karl completed an NDE in telecommunications & electronics which helped in gaining a role as an industrial plant electrician on the Dublin Port Tunnel in Ireland. Returning home to Wellington in 2005 to team up with the family business.
